The Magic Parts Company was established in 1984 by Mr. Thomas McNeil, who to this day remains active in his role as company owner and President. Distributors of RUBY Tubes and a full line of amp parts, accessories, tools and publications, Magic Parts specializes in the vintage tube. Our full line of vacuum tubes are the best in the industry. Serious musicians know the tone is in the tubes, and RUBY Tubes deliver.

Only a handful of factories in the world still produce vacuum tubes, and Magic Parts contracts with them directly to produce a line of innovative and quality products made to our specifications. Mr. McNeil meets with factory engineers to discuss ways to utilize new technologies to maintain and improve the quality of the tenacious tube, which persists little changed over a century since its inception.

Once completed, tubes are sent to us for a battery of comprehensive testing. At our US-based warehouse we use custom-designed equipment for precision and accuracy in our readings. Each tube is evaluated on a series of performance standards and features such as dependability, microphonics, mechanical noise, plate current and transconductance. Tubes are also independently inspected by hand during quality control checks.

Some frequently asked questions about RUBY^TM TUBES

• Magic Parts LLC owns RUBY™ TUBES.  RUBY™ branded tubes are made in china.  Magic Parts LLC distribute JJ, New Sensor branded tubes as well.
• Magic Parts LLC’s specialty is selecting tubes.  It has been making efforts in developing generations of tube test equipment and software over the last 30 years.  Only tested good ones are to be sold to customers and the rejected ones to be returned or disposed.  A select label is put on the tube with necessary information of it.
• Power tubes are matched within 1ma apart from each other in pair, quart, octal etc.  If you have preferred PC (plate current) or TC (transconductance) range, pls leave a note on your order or call in at (707) 769-5100.  Pre-amp tubes are graded HG+ for the critical high gain position, e.g. in the guitar amp, HG for non-critical positions.  We do also select tubes for other applications like low voltage keyboards or pedals. 
• A full line of RUBY™ branded spring reverb tanks can be found in guitar amps like FENDER, MESA, VOX, LANEY, etc.  Call in if you have trouble in determining the correct part number to order as they can be confusing.
